First month

I started MH Tracker in mid-June, mostly because I wanted one place to feel the pulse of the Monster Hunter community on Twitch - not only the same few names the algorithm keeps pushing.

We talk about "community" a lot, but being visible on Twitch is hard. Most hunters stream to a handful of people. After about a month of tracking, the numbers look roughly like this: ~62k finished streams, ~18.5k channels, ~177k hours on record. The typical channel still sits around 2 viewers. Only about 9% average ten or more. On a normal evening you'll see on the order of ~150-170 MH streams up at once.

As it stands now, I'm not completely sure how far the project will go. It is fun to explore more things with data instead of feelings. And if it helps you find new friends in the MH community, or encourages you to help new people, that would be the best thing.

So this isn't meant to be another leaderboard of the same three names. It's a place to poke around the whole scene - filter by game, size, language, who's just gone live - and maybe bump into someone new instead of only flocking to the same streamers Twitch already surfaces.
